Iris Jiron, MLT.
Iris:
Helping others, especially if they are vulnerably ill in any way, gives me great satisfaction. Drawing blood has become one of my extraordinary skills. When I do it, I think of the magnificence of the human body, the profound details it took our Lord and Creator to make us a masterpiece of art, from the smallest atom to the largest organ system, all together in a symphony. That's why when thinking about I₂O⁺ Specimens, I focused on how to continue helping the community in a more comfortable way for them. It gives me immense satisfaction to be able to bring my services to my patients and to be able to collaborate with their health care in this way.
My Story
As the founder & CEO of this family-owned and operated business, it is a pleasure to share with you a little bit of my life.
Ever since I was a child, I knew my calling in the medical field. I remember myself as a 6–7-year-old kid helping injured domestic animals, and later on in my life, it was so satisfying when my close friends and family would come to me to help them take care of minor wounds, cuts, and burns. My interest continued to grow as time went by. While in high school, I managed to obtain my CPR, CNA, and CPT among other certificates to start my journey in the laboratory field. I took it to the next level and went to college to become a Medical Laboratory Technologist and now, I am currently taking care of my family, managing my mobile phlebotomy business, and continuing to attend college to obtain a master's as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Pathologist.
My experience as a phlebotomist, specimen processor, and laboratory technologist extends from small medical offices to major hospitals, as well as experience with newborn and toddler children, and young and older adults.
I₂O⁺ Specimens is here to help in your health journey.
